Logging weather with a cheap sensor
The station is a BME280 on a small board, read every minute and averaged per hour. It lives in a white plastic shelter I printed, facing north, a metre away from the wall.
The biggest error source is not the sensor but the sun: without the shelter afternoon readings ran four degrees high. The yearly file on the data page is the cleaned version.
